Miami Showroom. An event specially oriented to architects, designers and GGCC established in Miami.
Taking the most out of PANTONE's announcement of the new COLOR OF THE YEAR 2018 18-3838 ULTRA VIOLET, ACTIU has decided to make an event where color and drinks mix together in harmony: A cocktail masterclass.
A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.
PANTONE ULTRA VIOLET works the best in all COOL WORKING environments, just let the imagination flow and adapt it in a sublime symphony.
Following these parameters, the cocktails that ACTIU experts chose as the one that best represents PANTONE ULTRA VIOLET is a MOJITO BLACKBERRY.
Mojito (pronounced moe-hee-toe) is Cuba's most famous cocktail. There isn’t a better Summer cocktail than an ice cold mojito. Something about the cocktail reminds of warm tropical weather. It kind of makes you feel like you're on a sunny vacation.
Here's how to make one by yourself:
2 ounces white rum
2 ounces club soda
1/2 ounce lime juice, or 3 lime wedges
6-7 mint leaves
3/4 ounce simple syrup (1 tablespoon of sugar will do)
cup of ice
In a Boston shaker, muddle limes, mint leaves, blackberries, and simple syrup until pulverized. Add rum and ice and shake for 10 seconds.
Pour the contents into a glass (no straining) and top with two ounces of club soda. Stir and garnish with mint leaves and blackberry.
It is important that the blackberries and mint are gently muddled - never crushed - to release their flavors but not release harsh or bitter tannins into the beverage. A wooden spoon or firm silicone spatula can be used in place of a muddler.
Serve and enjoy!
