KELLY WEARSTLER and her AMAZING interior office design!
The New Yorker dubbed her “the presiding grand dame of West Coast interior design,” but Kelly Wearstler is more rock star than matronly personage. As an author, blogger, outré fashion plate, branding virtuoso (from sheets to jewelry), decorator, and muse of the Viceroy and Tides hotels, Wearstler cuts a profile as colorful as those of her clients (Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, among others).
We love to see what goes on inside the offices of some of the men and women we admire most, and when it came to Kelly Wearstler’s workspace, we knew we’d be impressed. Not only is Kelly a walking inspiration, but she has also designed more than a few stunning offices herself. Kelly’s playfully chic style lends itself especially well to the home office, a room that always needs an extra kick of inspiration.
When it came to decorating her office space of four years, Wearstler had one key objective in mind: “I really wanted it to feel residential,” she says of the second-floor headquarters, located on a design-heavy strip of La Cienega Boulevard. Greeting guests as they exit the elevator there is an entryway where homey vignettes and massive sculptures coexist, transmitting the feeling of one of her chic, boutique hotel designs.
